China's Jiang Xinyu and Chinese Taipei's Wu Fang-Hsien reached the semifinals of the women's doubles at the Miami Open on Wednesday with a 6-3, 6-4

victory over Chinese pair Wang Xinyu and Zheng Saisai.

Jiang and Wu served four aces and converted four of five break points to prevail in an hour and 20 minutes.

Wang and Zheng won 70 percent of their first-serve points but were let down by a series of unforced errors at crucial moments.

Jiang and Wu will meet Mirra Andreeva and Diana Shnaider on Saturday with a place in the final at stake.

The Russian pair progressed by overcoming Ekaterina Alexandrova of Russia and Peyton Stearns of the United States 5-7, 6-3, 10-4 in their quarterfinal.
